The svelte agent nearly jumped from her chair.
“Holy tornado, a little warning next time?”
“At least you didn’t reach for your piece,” Elise said wryly. “I almost shot my sister yesterday.” At the agent’s crinkled brows, she added, “Don’t ask. But, like you, I wasn’t packing. So, no harm, no foul.”
