I absolutely love this. Thanks for sharing the origin story of your trilogy. It’s so thrilling to read about how writers stumble upon their idea for a book.
I love hearing about how other people get ideas for stories. Mine often start from seeing a visual image, like a photograph or a memory of one striking image.
Then close your eyes and let the imagination run wild. I love it! The workings of the creative mind is amazing to me, how it takes disparate ideas and combines them into something breathtaking and new. Your stories are always so rich and layered, thank you for sharing your process. ❤️
Hi Kayla, no not necessarily. I love fantasy and all books, especially the classics, mystery, romance, thrillers, historical fiction, and it used to be the fatter the better. This is probably why I ended up with an urban fantasy trilogy - it combines all the other genres in a modern-day fantasy setting. Today, I mostly read non-fiction as research. What is your favorite genre?

Thank you, France!! Readers kept asking, so it was fun to write about it. One day maybe I’ll get those old journals out and pick through the details.
